JTET 2024 Notification Details

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has officially announced the JTET 2024. The examination will be conducted for two levels:

  • Level 1: For teachers of classes 1 to 5.
  • Level 2: For teachers of classes 6 to 8.

Only candidates with B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualifications are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification:

    • Candidates must have passed B.Ed or D.El.Ed to be eligible for JTET 2024.

  • Age Limit:

    • The minimum and maximum age limits will be based on the date 23-07-2024.

JTET 2024 Exam Pattern

  • Level 1 (Classes 1 to 5): Questions will be based on the 12th standard.
  • Level 2 (Classes 6 to 8): Questions will be based on the graduate level.

JTET 2024 Syllabus

For Classes 1 to 5 (Level 1):

  • Child Development & Pedagogy: 30 questions, 30 marks
  • Language I: 30 questions, 30 marks
  • Language II: 30 questions, 30 marks
  • Mathematics: 30 questions, 30 marks
  • General Studies: 30 questions, 30 marks
  • Total: 150 questions, 150 marks

For Classes 6 to 8 (Level 2):

  • Child Development & Pedagogy: 30 questions, 30 marks
  • Language I: 30 questions, 30 marks
  • Language II: 30 questions, 30 marks
  • Mathematics & Science (For Math & Science Teachers): 60 questions, 60 marks
  • Social Studies (For Social Studies Teachers): 60 questions, 60 marks
  • Language/Other Subjects (For Language/Other Teachers): 60 questions, 60 marks
  • Total: 150 questions, 150 marks

JTET 2024 Qualifying Marks

  • General: 40% in each section, 60% total
  • SC/ST/Primitive Tribe: 30% in each section, 50% total
  • EBC (List-1): 35% in each section, 55% total
  • BC (List-2): 35% in each section, 55% total
  • EWS: 35% in each section, 55% total
  • PWD: 30% in each section, 50% total

  • General: ₹1300/- (Level 1 or 2), ₹1500/- (Both Levels)
  • SC/ST: ₹700/- (Level 1 or 2), ₹800/- (Both Levels)
